If you had the chance, would you sign up to run 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 different continents?
This is a feat through the Great World Race, and Becs Gentry is getting ready to start.
Becs Gentry is a popular One Peloton instructor. She’s also the 4th place finisher at the 2021 UK Olympic Trials, a former Nike Run Club Coach, and a 2:32:01 marathoner.
Becs is gearing up to start the Great World Race in Antarctica on November 15, 2024.

I had the pleasure of meeting Becs on a recent trip where we tested our VO2 Max. A recap of that experience is on Strength Running’s YouTube channel as well as my conversation with exercise scientist Jonah Rosner on the podcast.
This podcast episode is about how Becs is preparing for this grueling event. We discuss training, logistics, what her day to day will look like, her favorite recovery strategies, the particular challenges of running a marathon in Antarctica, and more.
